The water is shallow, so it’s a safe spot to enjoy with small children. Please note this area is also a boat route, so it is enclosed by buoys. **Do not go outside the buoyed area.**
白浜海岸
Shirahama Beach
大きな橋（柏島大橋）の袂から階段で降りていきます 白い砂浜がとても綺麗は「白浜」 毎年、地区の方々がビーチクリーンしています ゴミは必ず持ち帰ってください。みんなでいつまでも綺麗に 使えるようご協力ください You can reach it by taking the stairs down from the base of the large bridge (Kashiwajima Bridge). The white sand is beautifully clean—this is “Shirahama.” Every year, local community members organize beach cleanups. Please be sure to take all trash with you and help us keep the beach beautiful for everyone, for years to come.

数年前から野生のイルカ親子が生息中です。 人への警戒心がない分、大きな声や騒音、追い立てるような行動に敏感に反応します 適度な距離を保ち、優しく見守ってあげてください。 A wild dolphin mother and calf have been living here for the past few years. Because they are not very wary of people, they can be especially sensitive to loud voices, noise, or any behavior that feels like chasing them. Please keep a respectful distance and watch them quietly and gently.
赤桟橋
Red Pier
柏島のシンボルの１つ 橋の下にはソフトコーラルが群生し、小魚がいっぱい 昼間はダイビングや遊覧船の乗船場や漁船の停泊など利用されますが 夜は釣り人が集結。夜釣りのポイントになります。釣りをする方は ぜひチャレンジしてみてください One of Kashiwajima’s symbols. Under the bridge, soft corals grow in clusters, and the area is full of small fish. During the day, it’s used as a boarding point for diving boats and sightseeing cruises, and also as a mooring spot for fishing boats. At night, anglers gather here—it becomes a popular night-fishing spot. If you enjoy fishing, be sure to give it a try.

Red Lighthouse (Red Beacon)
こちらも柏島のシンボルの１つ 赤くて小さいけど船の航行を見守る大事な灯台 写真を撮っても映えること間違いなし Another symbol of Kashiwajima. Small and red, but an important lighthouse that helps guide boats safely. It’s also a perfect photo spot—guaranteed to look great in pictures.
柏島稲荷神社
Kashiwajima Inari Shrine
柏島のシンボルで御神体 夏祭り・秋祭りには神輿が威勢よく走り回ります！ また御神木の「あこうの木」は昔からお参りすると 母乳の出がよくなると言われています 赤く塗られた神社も艶やかで赤灯台同様、フォトスポットです A sacred symbol of Kashiwajima and an object of worship. During the summer and autumn festivals, portable shrines (mikoshi) race through the area with great energy! The sacred “Akō” tree has long been said to help improve breast milk supply when you come to pray. The shrine, painted in vivid red, is beautiful—just like the red lighthouse, it’s a great photo spot.
観音岩
Kannon Rock
非常に有難い 柏島の安全と繁栄を祈っているかのような観音岩 車停めから徒歩で５分ほど遊歩道を登ると見えてきます 長年に渡り風と波に侵食された花崗岩が削られた神秘の岩 見れば見るほど観音様に見えてくるのが本当に不思議です。 また、島の南側が一望できます Truly awe-inspiring—**Kannon Rock** looks as if it is praying for Kashiwajima’s safety and prosperity. From the parking area, it’s about a **5-minute walk uphill** along the trail to reach the viewpoint. This mysterious formation was carved over many years as wind and waves eroded the granite. The more you look at it, the more it resembles Kannon—it’s strangely fascinating. You’ll also get a panoramic view of the southern side of the island.

Monkey Park
野生のニホンザルと触れ合える大堂お猿公園（おおどうおさるこうえん）があります。大堂山に生息する野生の猿を年中餌付けしており、間近で観察したり、自分で餌を与えたりすることができます 協力金として200円（猿の餌代など）ぜひご協力ください 餌やり体験: 管理人がいる場合、「おやつ」を購入して与えることができます。野生ですが比較的穏やかな猿が多く、手渡しで食べてくれることもあります。 季節による変化: 春には子連れの母猿が見られる一方、季節によっては猿が山を移動しており、公園内にいないこともあります。特に餌の少ない冬季は、多くの猿が集まりやすい傾向にあります。 絶景スポット: 公園の近くには大堂展望台があり、柏島や太平洋、白亜の絶壁を一望できる大パノラマを楽しめます。 There is **Ōdō Monkey Park (Ōdō Osaru Kōen)**, where you can observe wild Japanese macaques up close. The wild monkeys living on Mt. Ōdō are fed year-round, so you may be able to watch them nearby—and even feed them yourself. A **¥200 cooperation donation** (used for monkey feed and maintenance) is appreciated. Thank you for your support. * **Feeding experience:** If the caretaker is present, you can purchase snacks (“oyatsu”) and feed the monkeys. Although they are wild, many are relatively calm, and some may even eat from your hand. * **Seasonal changes:** In spring, you may see mother monkeys with babies. Depending on the season, the monkeys may move around the mountain and may not be in the park. In winter, when natural food is scarce, more monkeys tend to gather. * **Scenic viewpoint:** Nearby is the Ōdō Observatory, offering a sweeping panorama of Kashiwajima, the Pacific Ocean, and striking white cliffs.

This is where you might capture that “signature shot” of your trip. In spring, the cherry blossoms planted around the observatory are absolutely stunning. It has long been a beloved hanami spot for local residents. With a **360-degree panoramic view**, the scenery is on another level—an experience you won’t forget. Watch the sunrise climb from the ocean’s surface and feel a surge of hope, then end the day with gratitude as the sun sinks into the horizon.

柏島から車で５分 柏島と隣の集落 一切（いっさい）地区にある休憩所 ここの東屋は柏島が一望できる撮影スポット 青空と雲と柏島？ 柏島と夕陽なんかどうですか？最高の1枚に出会えるかも… Just a **5-minute drive from Kashiwajima**, this is a rest area located in the Issai district (pronounced *Issai*), the neighboring village. The gazebo here is a great photo spot with a panoramic view of Kashiwajima. Kashiwajima with blue skies and clouds? Or Kashiwajima at sunset? You might just capture your best shot of the trip.

Roadside Station Ōtsuki (Michi-no-Eki Ōtsuki)
地元野菜や鮮魚が並ぶ産直市が併設 週末はもちろん観光客で大賑わい 特に鮮魚が新鮮で、とにかく安い！海の町だけあって魚種も豊富！ 都市部を比べたら半額以下のお値打ち価格で購入できるかも？ At Michi-no-Eki Ōtsuki, you’ll find a farmers’ market stocked with local vegetables and fresh seafood. It gets especially busy on weekends, drawing both locals and travelers. The seafood in particular is impressively fresh—and incredibly affordable. As you’d expect in a coastal town, the selection is also wide. Compared with city prices, you might even find items for **less than half** the cost.
